" Material Handling Professionalism in Southern California Starts Here "
The Los Angeles Chapter of the Materials Handling and Management Society (MHMS) is a non-profit organization affiliated with the national MHMS organization (link to National via our Membership page). Recently we crafted a short and succinct L.A. Chapter Mission Statement:
“Our mission is to provide the resources for individuals employed in our industry to gather information, educate themselves and interact with their peers.”
Your investment of only $40 per year (ask about Company Membership for 5 or more employees) allows you to attend all Chapter activities at a substantial discount. In fact, you will save easily over $40 versus non-members during the course of the year. You will also receive our Chapter newsletter, Dimensions, plus receive preference over non-members at all first come, first serve Chapter events.
During the course of the year, we have dinner meetings with guest speakers on a wide variety of topics of particular interest to our membership. Whether the topic be on seismic codes, fire codes, or forklift safety and maintenance, you can be assured that we will have informative and knowledgeable speakers who will enhance your understanding of the issues that affect your business. We also have plant tours at companies like Toyota, Albertson’s, Ralph’s, Baxter Healthcare to see the latest material handling systems. We have purely fun events, like our annual golf tournament.
